Warehouse Lead

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead shipping team to ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped by specified deadlines in retail store and wholesale area.
  • Utilize WMS Scanners to receive, put away and move inventory throughout the warehouse.
  • Wrap and label pallets with appropriate lot code and expiration information.
  • Serve as backup coverage to online shipping area lead.
  • Supports training and mentoring of new and existing team members. 
  • Participate in weekly cycle counts and EOM inventory counts.
  • Troubleshoot and solve more complex warehouse issues.
  • Ensure Bar Code / Lot code / Freshest by information is accurate and properly applied.
  • Communicate, disseminate and perform daily tasks for assigned sections.
  • Deep understanding of all processes in the Warehouse.
  • Communicate ideas, issues, needs with Supervisor.
  • Manage inventory of supplies for the department (eg boxes, tape, etc).
  • Must be team oriented, have a strong work ethic, and maintain composure.
  • Demonstrates passion and high energy with effective interpersonal skills through verbal communication and ability to gain alignment with other team members.
  • Ability to follow directions while acting independently in an appropriate manner on multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

  • Create standard workflow.
  • Request Maintenance Actions through FIIX Maint System.
  • Deliver materials to manual production lines / stickering areas / packaging areas.
  • Clean work areas daily - document on checklists, follow GMPs.
  • Operate forklifts to move equipment and supplies as required.
  • Follow Food Safety (FSMA) processes, procedures and regulations
  • Continuous improvement and 5S projects as directed.
  • Contribute to a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, suppliers, and co-workers. 
  • Other projects and duties as assigned




What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 5 or more years previous experience in a medium to large warehouse and/or packaging experience.
  • 3 or more years previous experience in a lead roll 
  • Good command of English language skills both written and oral.
  • Previous experience in a role that requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to guidelines, policies or procedures.
  • Previous experience working in a team environment and demonstrates professional and positive communications and behaviors.
  • Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication).
  • Able to work a variety of shifts and has a flexible schedule.
  • Good organizational, time management, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • ServSafe Food Handler and Forklift Certification a plus.



Salary $23/hr 

 

Essential Physical Requirements 

  • Visual acuity.
  • Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds free weight.
  • Ability to stand and move for long periods of time (6-8 hours).
  • Ability to use fingers, hand, reach and bend down (4-6 hours).
  • Physically able to push/pull 150-2500 pounds lbs. using pallet jacks and/or heavy machinery.
