How do I get the Philz app?

Head to the app store and download either the iOS or Android version of the app. For iOS, you'll need to be on 10.3.3 or newer.

How do I order on the Philz app?

Browse through our favorite blends, select your drink of choice, customize to your personal taste, pay, then pick up your order at the store you selected. It’s that easy!

What’s available for pick-up?

In our current app, all your favorite drinks are available for pick-up. Future updates to the app will allow you to order food, coffee beans, and merchandise for pick-up.

Where do I pick-up my order?

When you enter a Philz store, look for a mobile app sign or the pick-up bar to find your drink.

Can I order with a gift card or discount code?

Unfortunately, at this time you won’t be able to order with a gift card or apply any discounts. If you’d like to use your gift card, just visit us at one of our store locations.

Can I modify my order?

Yes, you have 30 seconds after you place your order to cancel or edit if something doesn’t look right.

Can I schedule an order for pick-up?

Of course! On the Favorites screen click on Pick-Up and choose a Store and Time that’s convenient for you. Up until 10 minutes before the store closes, you can place and pick up an order that same calendar day.

How can I check my order status?

Once you place your order, you can check the status under Favorites. If you forget, don’t worry, we’ll send you a notification when your drink is ready.

What is the max number of drinks I can order at once?

You can place an order for up to 4 drinks. If you want to order more than that, you’ll have to place another order within the next available timeslot once your submitted order is complete.

Can I check my order history?

Under Favorites, you can see your most recent drink orders. This also lets you reorder your favorite in a snap!

Why doesn’t my favorite location show up in the Store Locator?

When you open the app, it will default to the location where you last placed an order or the store closest to you. At this time, pick-up orders are not available at our San Jose, Van Ness or Truck locations.

Why does the app request my location?

Location information is used by the app so you can see accurate store and menu information.

Are there additional fees?

There are no fees for ordering in the app but there may be additional state and local taxes, where applicable.

Account Management

How do I reset my password?

We forget our passwords sometimes too so we made it easy to reset it. On the sign-in screen, just tap “Forgot Password” to start the reset process. We’ll send you instructions on next steps.

Why can't I update my password?

Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number.

How do I update my account information?

Head over to More in the navigation bar, then go to Extras and Account where you can update all your personal information.

How can I tip my barista?

This feature will be part of future app updates. At this time, please feel free to tip your barista at the register.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can choose either Apple Pay if it's enabled on your phone. We also accept payments made with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, or Discover. You can add a payment card for quick ordering.

Can I access my account at

Unfortunately, right now you can only place an order for pick-up and access your account through the app.

How do I get a refund?

Can I check the nutritional information?

You can find calorie information and more details when you visit our Philz locations. We're working on getting this information on our website and in the app.


What is the HCSO charge?

To us, our team is our family. That’s why we’ve embraced the San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) and added a 3.7% surcharge in our San Francisco stores. This surcharge is also applied to our mobile app orders to provide our team members and their families with more affordable healthcare.

Is there a loyalty program?

We don’t currently have a loyalty program but we’re working on it! We want to be able to show our Philz fans some love.

Why can't I find Decaf Sumatra in the menu anymore?

We're discontinuing Sumatra due to low sales and difficulty in sourcing a quality level that we're proud of. To replace it, we've crafted a delicious medium decaf blend with similar flavor notes.
